At The English Hatter you will find a carefully selected range of Hestra gloves – the family business from the village of Hestra in southern Sweden has had one goal since 1936: the best possible protection and elegance for your hands.
From forestry to global brand
Founder Martin Magnusson made his first work gloves for loggers in the rugged Småland. When the first skiers came to local Isaberg in 1937, warm leather ski gloves followed – the beginning of a reputation that has now endured for four generations. Production still takes place in their own factories; Hestra buys every piece of leather, wool and lining themselves and thus monitors every step of the manufacturing process.
Materials that make the difference
Hestra uses premium hides such as peccary, elk, deer and lamb nappa for its dress gloves; sports and outdoor models are reinforced with supple goat or cow leather. Linings range from cashmere-soft wool terry for wet autumn days to modern Primaloft® for deep winter cold, so you always have the right balance of warmth, breathability and dexterity.
