Great Dutch innovation, small in size

Secrid card holders are a typical Dutch invention. In 2009, designers René van Geer and Marianne van Sasse van Ysselt went looking for a compact alternative to the old-fashioned wallet. Their solution: the aluminium Cardprotector with a patented sliding mechanism. With one simple movement, your bank cards and ID card slide out of the holder in stages. The sturdy casing not only protects against bending and breaking, but also prevents unwanted RFID scans.

Success was not long in coming. In 2010, the Cardprotector won a prestigious international design award. This was followed by models such as the Miniwallet and Slimwallet. Secrid is still fully owned by the Van Geer family. Production takes place exclusively in the Netherlands, in collaboration with social workshops in Leiden and Delft, among others. In this way, Secrid keeps the production chain short, quality always comes first and the brand contributes to local employment.
